Fill out the simple form to see if you could qualify for a grant for your home.
We will then arrange a free home survey of your property though a reputable company.
You will have your new boiler fitted and start saving money at the same time.
The Boiler Scrappage Scheme is part of the Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) and helps people on low income benefits to replace their old and inefficient boilers very cheaply.
Introduced in 2013, the scheme was formerly free but everyone now has to pay a small contribution.
Note – There is still a free Scheme that requires you to have underfloor insulation.
The ECO grant scheme was brought in to tackle fuel poverty and lower carbon emissions in Scotland, England and Wales. These grants are funded via teeh fuel bill payer ultimately and are especially aimed at people who receive low income benefits.
Government funding for the Boiler Grant Scheme is very limited. Once government targets have been hit, then the Boiler Grant funding will be withdrawn.
This means that the eligibility criteria for the grant is very strict.
There Is No Catch! You will qualify for a grant or not.
You will not need to have to pay anything back too even if you move house!
From completing our enquiry form, most successful applicants have a new boiler fitted within 2- 3 weeks!
Once we have confirmed by a data matching service that you are eligible to receive the grant, one of our Gas Safe registered surveyors will come to the property to carry out a free 20 minute survey in order to claim the funding.
Some photos will need to be taken of existing boiler and radiators as well as some paperwork.
If all is well your boiler install will be booked for the following week.
From the 1st October 2018 all applicants for the Single measure Boiler Scheme have had to pay a small contribution.
We ask everyone to expect to pay towards their boiler.
Please do not apply if you are a “FREE ONLY “ client. Thank you
If your home is not adequately insulated , you will be required to have it fitted prior to having any heating upgrades. This whole house approach is a condition of grant funding and all home insulation will be checked and topped up if neccesary
The Boiler Grants will not last for ever and we believe the Government Is reviewing the funding with a view to ending it in the very neat future. The funding is set to end at the end of every month but has been auto renewing. This may be the last month so do not delay if you are thinking of applying.
Back boilers are accepted on the scheme, however due to the nature of extra work involved, there is an extra charge. The full price of a backboiler conversion is approx £3000 and usually takes around 2 days to complete.
If you would like to apply for a backboiler conversion to combi, you should expect to pay between £1200 – £1500 contribution towards it. We will require a large deposit too before a surveyor can be sent out.
Many of our installers are now asking for a small commitment from boiler grant applicants in order to book a survey. This is usually around £10 and is necessary to filter out those who make multiple applications for grants so wasting installers resources.
The deposit will be refunded if we are unable to proceed at the original price we indicated to you for a straight swap.
There are no hidden charges as such , however, the boiler grant funding will only cover the price of a straight swap so any extras needed will be at extra cost to applicants.
£200- £300 If Needed
£100- £300 If Needed
From £250 upwards
Some of our installers will include this fantastic system cleaning filter which removes magnetite from your heating system as the water circulates.
Please ask your allocated installer if this is inscluded.
If not, there is usually acharge of around £150 for it to be supplied & fitted.
Well worth the expense as it will put years on your system.
